『鋼華祭』は格闘ゲームだが、「自分で鍛えた武器で戦わなければならない」というのが核となる設定だ。火村燿が看板キャラクターなのは、彼女が最強だからではなく、大会ごとに毎回新しい武器を打ち直すからだ。これはシリーズにおいて、毎回自分が最も慣れ親しんだ手触りを手放すことを意味する。彼女の視覚的特徴は非常に明確だ。乱れた短い赤髪、片側だけの籠手、腰の鍛造ハンマー。もし入門するなら、2014年の初代から始めるといい。2023年の『再燃』は続編だが、祭典が再建された街に移されており、雰囲気が大きく異なる。
