This page describes engineering controls, not legal advice. Where something is unresolved it is recorded as unresolved rather than assumed to be fine.

Artwork

Pictures are served through /media/:assetId/:variant. Third-party artwork is not hotlinked.

Permissions do not imply one another

Every asset carries six independent permissions: display, cache, transform, redistribute, commercial use, and training. All six default to false, and none of them can be inferred from another.

Training permission is false even for artwork ikuwayo! created itself. That is a deliberate default, not an oversight.

Age and presentation

Glamour presentation requires a character to be affirmatively an adult AND drawn as an adult. Body measurements are refused at the vocabulary level. Ranking characters by physical attractiveness is refused for every subject.

These are not editorial guidelines. They are enforced by the policy engine, database constraints, and tests.

Metadata and facts

Metadata about a work is not the work. ikuwayo! records structured facts with a source, a retrieval date and a confidence level, and shows the disagreement when sources conflict.

Demonstration corpus

The atlas includes original demonstration characters (synthetic-demo) and a sourced AniList ranklist. Demonstration records are labelled on every card.

Takedown

Assets are addressable by content hash and perceptual hash. A takedown beats every other permission.

See docs/TAKEDOWN.md in the repository for the process and contact route.
